Thank you to everyone who attended an event in January, those who took part in our online survey and to the excellent submissions we received from your photography competition. You have helped us drive forward the sympathetic repair and sustainable re-use of Rosefield Mills by contributing your thoughts and ideas about how the building could be developed and programmed.

A full report of the conversations held and plans for the future of Mills is in progress.

Photo Competition

Brilliant and Congratulations!

Thanks to all the keen and aspiring photographers, who entered the photography competition 2025! We are delighted that so many of you took the chance to explore Rosefield Mills, as well as the wider industrial heritage of Dumfries and area.

We would like to thank Kim Ayres (Kim Ayres Photography) for providing impartial and independent support during the selection process

Thanks also to the Rosefield Mills Working Group volunteers, who manned the Mills for some of 17th and 18th May, to allow photographers to look inside the building, in the hunt for exciting views and angles for photos.

The winners have been invited to an official prize presentation at Rosefield Mills at the beginning of July.
